A Message from Hawks President, Greg Verner:
The Orangeville Hawks Basketball Club would like to inform our players and parents that we are still hoping to provide basketball to the youth of Orangeville for the 2021-22 season. With COVID 19 in our lives there are some difficulties in getting started on our season. We use the schools in the Upper Grand DSB for our programs. Understandably, these gyms are not available to us at this time. We respect the Board’s desire to ensure that schools are, first most, safe for children to be back at school.

We have been investigating several options and have had little success. Unlike other areas, the Town of Orangeville does not have a gym facility in which basketball can be played. The outside courts leave a lot to be desired in terms of equipment and safety. This leaves us with very few options to allow us to begin our programs.

Rest assured that, when we are able to restart our programs, we will do so following the COVID -19 protocols set by the Ontario Basketball Association for OBA member clubs. We thank you for your patience and continued support of our program.
